Remember Phil, If you don't enter you can't get selected... I've always enjoyed taking photos of LEGO and creating my digital images but i've always been a little unsure when it comes to sharing with a wider audience who haven't necessarily seen this type of photograph before.
Last year someone in an art gallery suggested I enter the 'Open Exhibition', an event celebrating artists from Leicester and the East Midlands organised by Leicester Museum & Art Gallery. When I checked online I had missed the deadline by one week! Oh well, maybe next year I thought...
One year has now been and gone so when I received a 'call for entries' email I thought I should give it a go. Selecting three of what I thought were good images was a challenge but I filled out the entry form, paid my fee and sent them off.
Last week an email dropped into my inbox saying that not one but two of my entries had been selected. To say i'm a little bit happy is an understatement.
Now its time to get them printed, framed and delivered in time. The exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday 10 December 2022 until Friday 20 January 2023 at Leicester Museum & Art Gallery.
